Why do I have to enter subject categories for my NOOK Book?

The subject categories that you enter for your NOOK Book tell us where to place your customer product page in the NOOK Bookstore so that customers browsing through our categories can find NOOK Books that interest them. You can enter up to five categories per NOOK Book.
