What is the Manuscript page?

The Manuscript page is where you create a new Manuscript using the Manuscript Editor, or edit an uploaded manuscript file in the Manuscript Editor before you put your Project On Sale as a NOOK Book. Options regarding your Manuscript in the Manuscript Editor are available as described below:

Publish
Click the Publish button to put your Project On Sale as a NOOK Book. If your Project is already on sale as a NOOK Book, click this button to Take Off Sale.

Invite Collaborators
The Collaborators page is where you can invite others to collaborate with you on your Project. This will allow them to read your Manuscript in the Manuscript Editor and add comments for each chapter. You can read their comments and respond, and you can delete their comments once you have finished. Click theCollaborators button to invite new collaborators to work with you on your Project. Enter the Invitee Name and Invitee Email. You can also send the invited collaborator a welcome note with information or instructions about your Project by entering text in the Message to Invitee box. Click Send Invitation to send. The Collaborators page also displays a list of invitations that are pending. These are invitations that have been sent, but are awaiting a response.

View Product Page
Once your Project is On Sale as a NOOK Book, you can click View Product Page to launch your NOOK Book’s customer product page at BN.com into your browser. Viewing your NOOK Book’s customer product page is only possible when your Project is On Sale as a NOOK Book.

Download ePub
Once your Project is On Sale as a NOOK Book, click Download ePub to launch a window to save your NOOK Book as an ePub file to your computer. Downloading your ePub file to your computer is only possible when your Project is On Sale as a NOOK Book.

B&N Identifier
This number is automatically assigned to your NOOK Book when it is put On Sale as a NOOK Book. This is not an ISBN. It is NOOK's own internal number for use in the NOOK system. This number is displayed here for your reference. It will also be displayed as the "BN ID" in the Product Details section of your NOOK Book's customer product page.

Replace Manuscript

You can click Replace Manuscript to upload a new manuscript file into the Manuscript Editor to replace a previously uploaded manuscript file, or to replace the Manuscript you created using the Manuscript Editor. The Replace Manuscript option is available for Projects that are In Progress, On Sale or Off Sale.

Edit Manuscript
Click Edit Manuscript to edit your Manuscript using the Manuscript Editor. Click here to view instructions for using the Manuscript Editor. The Edit option is not available after a Project has been Put On Sale for the first time, even if the NOOK Book has been taken Off Sale. To update or replace a NOOK Book that is currently On Sale, you would need to take the Project Off Sale, download the ePub from the Project page, create a new Project, upload the downloaded ePub or create a new Manuscript in that Project, and then put that new Project On Sale as a NOOK Book.
